Cease-fire line set…. Panmunjom, Korea — Looking over one of the preliminary maps bearing an experimental cease-fire line are Gen. Henry I. Hodes (left) and Adm. Arleigh Burke, outside the tent at Panmunjom. It was announced November 22 that Communist negotiators agreed today on a formula for a cease-fire line across Korea. The line is the present battlefront. It is the cease-fire line that United Nations negotiators have been arguing for these last fruitless months. The 17-month-old war will end if a full armistice is signed within 30 days. In the meantime, fighting will continue.  International News Photo.
